Our Cosmovence

The Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta for the Arhuaco people is the Heart of the World. It is a living being that teaches us the Law of Origin, a sacred system that governs life through cooperation. Protecting it is defending the ancestral wisdom that guarantees the permanence and future of all humanity.

The basis of our existence is the Origin Act (). This ancestral law governs our way of thinking and acting. It teaches us that every living being, every river, every mountain and every human action has an impact on the universe. True prosperity is not in accumulation, but in a harmonious and mutually beneficial relationship with the earth.

The Law of Origin is the creative force of the universe. It is an energy that allows everything to be born, grow, transform and reborn. Thanks to her, all things in the cosmos are connected in a network of interdependence. Nothing exists on its own; everything that happens in a place, whether positive or negative, extends as a wave throughout nature.

This constant interconnection is what we call Harmony or Universal balance. We recognize the existence of a «Mother Universal», a vision of infinite fertility and perpetual movement. The cycle of sowing, birth, maturing, dying and rebirth is the Law of the Mother, the ethical principle that guides our conduct, our policy and our social organization.

We are guided by the Law of Origin

The law of Origin is the ancestral and spiritual code that governs all existence. It establishes the intrinsic connection between human beings and nature, dictating the harmony and balance that we must maintain with the Earth and all its elements.

Peace and dialogue

We believe that conflicts must be resolved through dialogue and understanding, always maintaining harmony between people and with nature.

«When we are not peaceful with our fellow men, we are not automatically peaceful with nature either.».

Mamu and knowledge

The mamu is the spiritual leader and guide of the Law of Origin. It represents ancient knowledge, wisdom and connection with the spiritual world. Its role is vital to maintaining tradition, harmony and balance within the people.

Harmony and balance

We seek to live in constant balance with nature and the universe. We believe that any imbalance, whether caused by human action or by external forces, can have negative consequences for life on Earth.

Identity in the territory

We know that territory represents life.

Hence our main subject of learning to obey is born the rules of the territoryto read the cycles of the Earth and to understand cooperation as the fundamental law of existence.
